William Thrall
On 20 March 1630 William Thrall of Sandridge sailed with a group of Puritans on the ship the “Mary and John”.
On 30 May 1630, they came ashore on some high land in the salt meadow. They named the place Dorchester - now part of the city of Boston.
William Thrall is the founder of the Thrall family in the United States. William Thrall was born in Sandridge, Hertfordshire, England in 1605. He died on 3 August 1679 in Windsor, Connecticut, America. William Thrall's will.
