Better articles

  • We now present our family history in a more coherent way. Pages are now structured in book-like stories, with one page naturally following another;
  • Each article is tagged, so information that can't be presented in sequence, can be categorised by authors and easily retrieved by readers;
  • Longer articles now all have a clickable table of contents;
  • Images are displayed in articles as thumbnails with a caption. Impressively, click on an image and you are taken to a high quality full size image (usually filling the whole screen) complete with source references and commentary text. Each image is also categorised, so it is easy to jump to a page containing all other images of, for example, a person or place;
  • Citations are now displayed as clickable numbered footnotes, making it easier to read an article;

Easier involvement

Visitors can1:

  • contribute their own articles, or update an existing one

  • create their own blog2;
  • edit articles, images, messages, search the forum and articles and edit the family tree with just one account;

The site uses better spam protection, so a previous problem of unwanted messages promoting adult services has been eliminated.
