Thrale.com is owned and maintained by David Thrale.

Non-profit making

Whilst other contribute with information and feedback, the site is maintained by me, at my expense. I haven't made a penny - in fact it costs me money. I do this for fun.

Why am I doing this?

To start off with I wanted to learn about websites and HTML. My plan was to post up a few family pictures, the little information I had on Thrale family history and a few hyperlinks. But you know how it is, things snowballed!

I have really enjoyed learning so much about my family history, and cracking each technical challenge that comes with developing your own web site. I'm delighted with what I have achieved - and judging by the feedback so are you. I still have loads of ideas for improving things, and the kind comments I do get from visitors spurs me on to do more.
