  Notes	Other records show birth year as 1711 and 1713. The Thrall Place, Torrongton, Connecticut, USA is a half mile east of Goshen line. The old chimney was still standing in 1878. There Joel probably kept a tavern, as did his son Pardon Thrall after him. Joel was also a farmer, and not a member of the church which was unusual for his day.
